Today’s Challenges…
It is obvious that our society is facing many challenges.
Unfortunately, 99% of the designers are not ready to provide appropriate solutions.
You can be that 1% that is prepared.
You can create a niche in the market that will attract new clients by rethinking design from scratch.
Here are some challenges you can turn into opportunities…
Lack of Emphasis on Well-being
Many design professionals prioritize visual appeal and practicality over the health and happiness of the occupants.
Disconnect from Nature
People spend more time indoors. They are less exposed to natural elements such as sunlight, fresh air and greenery, which are essential for physical and mental well-being.
Impact on Health and Environment
Poorly designed spaces may contribute to stress, anxiety, and decreased productivity among occupants. Also, unsustainable design practices can damage the environment and deplete resources.
Urgency of the Times
Awareness around sustainability and mental health is growing. Design professionals are expected to take responsibility and find innovative solutions.
Rising Demand for Well-being
Clients are seeking spaces that not only look good but also support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Meet The Team Behind Habitarmonia
Nuria Muñoz
Founder of Habitarmonia, Well-being and Biophilic Design Expert
“I started Habitarmonia because I see the current climate change, health problems, and stress people face daily. I know that spaces have a big impact on well-being, just like eating well and exercising. This is why I founded Habitarmonia Design Studio and later the Academy, to inspire and share this knowledge with a broader audience. We can create a global positive impact through our spaces, preventing health issues and promoting well-being.”
Ilse Baan
Well-being and Biophilic Design Expert, Habitarmonia trainer and facilitator
“My greatest strength lies in the fact that I am highly sensitive. Connection with nature and meditation help me to recharge and get new ideas and inspirations. I have learned to use this gift to sense the needs of my clients and translate this into the most appropriate designs for them. These designs do not only look beautiful, but also improve the well-being, health and happiness of my clients. It is my passion to create designs from my heart that naturally touch the hearts of my clients.”
Dominique Gentillon
Well-being and Biophilic Design Expert, Habitarmonia trainer and facilitator
“As a child I lived in Chili, being outdoors was as natural to me as breathing. From my grandmothers I learned about the power of herbs and plants and the unconditional love of animals. I also learned that a piece of land can give you everything you need to live and thrive. Today, as a Well-being and Biophilic designer, it is my mission and passion to bring the magic of nature and its benefits indoors, creating personalized, peaceful spaces that reconnect people with their roots and natural essence. Spaces that nourish body, mind and soul, and let you flourish.”
When I started the 12-week course, I expected to get mentorship from a top notch professional in this field and also to learn the best practices for integrating the principles and technical aspects of Biophilic Design.
But I got so much more. When we began a deep introspection of ourselves, with the Ikigai, I understood that there was so much more that I would get my hands on. Every week I would learn something new and inspiring. It was quite an intensive course and it challenged me in so many ways that I didn’t even expect.
But it really helped me understand the complexities of Biophilic Design and how I could connect that to my personal and professional purpose.
In this process the Habitarmonia team was always diligent and open to answer any of my questions. It was most nourishing and inspiring to be part of this international cohort of students and mentors.
The Habitarmonia course exceeded all my expectations. I not only learned about the theory and concepts of Well-being and Biophilic Design, I also gained practical insights on how to incorporate biophilic design principles into various environments.
The course encouraged me to look at spaces differently, recognizing the importance of integrating natural elements to create healthier and more harmonious surroundings. One of the standout features of this course was the abundance of information it offered.
From the history of biophilia to its modern applications in architecture, urban planning, healthcare, and beyond, every aspect was meticulously covered. The course delved into the scientific research behind biophilia, explaining how exposure to design inspired by nature can positively impact our well-being, productivity, and overall quality of life.
Through engaging lectures, case studies, and interactive exercises, I found myself developing a deeper appreciation for nature and its role in shaping human experiences.
The course challenged me to rethink my relationship with the environment and inspired me to advocate for biophilic practices in my personal and professional life.
During my interior stylist training, I was given a lot of information but mostly on a technical and practical level.
It felt to me like I was missing something.
At Habitarmonia’s course, I got the depth I was looking for. I finally found a way to create an interior in which someone can feel at home, find peace and harmony, and connect with nature.
I now apply all this in my business that I had had for 10 years. It was an eye-opener for me and I am so grateful to have experienced this course.
